After an unhinged first date, TikToker Christian (@christiancooks99) will never look at jalapeño poppers the same again. It all started when he matched with a girl on a dating app, and they really hit it off.
They exchanged phone numbers and started texting. They discussed normal topics, such as TV shows, movies, and work.
Finally, he asked her out on a date. They planned to meet at a restaurant at 8:30. On the day of the date, she texted him at 7:15, letting him know that she had arrived at the restaurant. He was confused as to why she was an hour and 15 minutes early. Now, he had to rush to get ready.
When he got there, he realized that she didn’t look much like the pictures on her dating profile. She appeared to be closer to 50 years old, which was 20 to 25 years older than her profile stated. Also, in her pictures, she had long, curly hair, but in person, she had a bob haircut.
Christian was freaking out a little, but he forged ahead. As they perused the menu, he asked her if anything was catching her eye.
She told him that she wasn’t very hungry and would probably have something small. He offered to split some fried pickles, jalapeño poppers, or bacon-wrapped scallions.
When the server came to their table, she asked for six orders of jalapeño poppers, which cost $90. Christian was at a loss for words.
He thought she was joking at first, but to his dismay, she wasn’t. He ordered a simple burger and sweet potato fries.
When the food arrived, she immediately noticed that she had only received five plates of jalapeño poppers. The server explained that there were only five orders left, so they wouldn’t be charged for the sixth order.

“You might as well have told this lady that we just took her firstborn child out back,” said Christian.
“That’s how upset she got before the waiter even finished explaining they only had 25 jalapeño poppers.”
She started yelling at the server. After a few minutes, she demanded to speak to the manager. The manager tried to explain the same thing—they only had five orders of jalapeño poppers left.
She then asked to speak to the owner of the restaurant, but the owner was out of town.
So, she proceeded to pick up a plate of jalapeño poppers and dump it on the floor. Next, she slid another plate off the table. The manager asked them to leave the restaurant before they pressed charges for trespassing.
Christian wanted to pay for the meal, but the manager told him it was on the house. His date began throwing a fit about the free meal.
He rushed out of the restaurant, leaving his screaming date behind. He doesn’t know what happened after, but he hopes that she got in trouble.
