I spent a lot of my free time on the hunt for easy dinner recipes to throw together, because ‘what’s for dinner’ has become the three words I dread most in the English language. Hey, it’s a lot of effort to make dinner after a long day at work!

I recently came across this recipe from a TikToker by the name of @dinneratrileys, and it’s for a creamy cowboy butter chicken bowtie pasta dish.

She says it’s very in line with an Alfredo sauce, and you can also try it out with steak instead of chicken.

Deliciously different, right? Well, here’s how you can make this for dinner tonight, because you know an awesome pasta recipe will never let you down.

This will take you approximately 30 minutes to make, by the way, just so you have an idea of how long you’re going to be stuck in the kitchen.

Ingredients:

• 1 pound of bowtie pasta

• 1.5 pounds of chicken breast (cut them up into cubes; I like to make it really small so it cooks faster)

• 2 tbsp olive oil

• 2 tbsp butter

• salt and pepper to taste

• 1 to 1½ tbsp Kinder’s Cowboy Butter seasoning

• 1 cup heavy cream

• ¾ cup parmesan

• 3 to 4 cloves of garlic (make sure to mince it, or you know, just buy it out of a jar to really save yourself time)

Instructions:

1. Start by drizzling olive oil into a skillet and turning the heat to medium-high before cutting your chicken into cubes. Next, season your chicken with as much salt and pepper as your heart desires. Cook your chicken for six to eight minutes. You can tell it’s done when the chicken appears golden brown, and you can always pull one apart with a fork to make sure it’s completely cooked.

2. As your chicken cooks, you can get started on your pasta. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook the bowtie pasta until it’s on the al dente side (it should tell you how to achieve this on the box). Make sure to set aside half a cup of the pasta water before draining the bow ties.

3. Take the cooked chicken out of the skillet, turn the heat down to medium, and throw in your butter. After the butter melts, add in the garlic and cook for an additional 30 seconds.

4. For your next step, add the Kinder’s Cowboy Butter seasoning and heavy cream. Simmer all of this together for three to five minutes to make a thicker pasta sauce.

5. Finally, stir the parmesan into the sauce until it’s completely smooth, and put the chicken in. Mix everything together, and if it’s too thick, you can always add a tiny bit of the pasta water to thin it out.

Optional: squeeze a bit of fresh lemon over the top, then dig in!
