Most frightening tales can be explained away, but every so often, a story comes along that’s a little harder to shrug off. TikToker @temptress.witch is a nurse who used to work at a haunted nursing home.
One dark and spooky night, she was working on the first floor of the nursing home, and her cousin and coworker at the time was working on the second floor.
TikToker @temptress.witch had a resident who needed a caregiver to stay in the room with him 24/7. Once the caregiver left for her break, @temptress.witch had to sit and watch him until she returned.
When the caregiver came back, they suddenly received a call on their walkie-talkies for a resident named Sarah. Now, @temptress.witch thought Sarah had fallen, so she rushed over. Sarah was sound asleep in her bed, but her room was in disarray. Something was off.
The resident had a bedside table with framed family photos and a little vase with some artificial flowers in it. However, all the pictures were lying facedown, and they were arranged in a trail leading toward the bathroom.
Additionally, a photo of Jesus was faced up on the floor, and the vase had been smashed on top of it. There were glass shards everywhere.
“But the one thing that is physically impossible for this resident to have done was move the table,” said @temptress.witch. “The table was in the bathroom, placed over top of the toilet.”
“It had three legs, so it’s not one that you could just slide over the toilet. It was picked up and placed over it, and we had to clean these items up. That table was heavy; I lifted it.”
They checked the resident’s feet and found no signs of cuts. Another nurse came over to check on the situation, and as soon as she saw the state of the room, she walked away, leaving @temptress.witch and her cousin to clean up the mess.

Finally, they looked up at the wall and saw the resident’s crucifix hanging upside down. It was higher up than usual, and it would have been impossible for the resident to reach up that high.
The crucifix had also never been positioned in that way. It was always in the proper position, so the fact that it had been turned upside down felt eerie and evil.
“That room was terrifying,” said @temptress.witch. “It always had a very dark, negative energy. The resident herself, when she was in that room and only when she was in that room, was weird.”
“If you would wake her up and she would look at you, her response was not like any other resident on the floor. It was almost as if her eyes were blank, and she was staring into your soul.”
Outside of the room, the resident was really bubbly and social, so there was something in that room affecting her. After that, @temptress.witch was afraid to go into the room alone.
She and her cousin exercised caution every time they entered the room. It was the scariest experience they had at that nursing home.
