Today in New York, Casio launched their Fall Collection of Baby-G watches. They have also announced Ke$ha as the brand ambassador, which seems like a good fit for Casio, since Ke$ha resembles their watches – she seems tough – yet colorful, and fun.
Amongst the new Baby-G watches for women is a series collaboration with the Hellz Bellz clothing line. Like the clothing line, the BG5600HZ-7 polka dot watch and BG5600HZ-9 taxi inspired watch both have a 80’s pop culture feeling going for them. The latter, “taxi cab watch” pays respect to the great streets of New York City, the birthplace of Hellz Bellz. Both watches are shock resistant and water resistant up to 100 meters, and feature an EL backlight with afterglow, world time, five daily alarms and countdown timer. They will be available in September for $89 at Macy’s and Nordstrom.
Baby-G’s new Vivid watch features a special new tinted LCD that matches its watchband along with a solid gloss color band. The Vivid series is available in the color combinations of black and pink (BG169R-1B), shades of blue on blue (BG169R-2B), shades of pink on pink (BG169R-4B), white and green (BG169R-7C), and white and pink (BG169R-7D). The Vivid also features five daily alarms, a countdown timer and stopwatch mode, and it keeps world time in 30 cities. The Vivid BGR169R watches will retail for $79 at Macy’s.
