SwitchEasy Canvas Portfolio Case for iPad Review

Switch SwitchEasy Canvas Portfolio Case for iPad Review

We recently reviewed our first SwitchEasy product and were very impressed with it’s durability and design. Their Canvas case for iPad is no different. The Canvas is a scratch resistant folio case that
functions as a 2 viewing angle stand. The interior is made of a micro-fleece lining and has two pockets. The iPad slides into the Canvas portfolio case from the inner side and is secured under a protective frame. It sits snugly inside of the frame and there’s a guard on the side that keeps it from sliding out. There are cutouts along the sides to easily access the dock connector, speaker, volume/toggle, lock button, and the microphone. The Canvas case is tri-folding and props up iPad in two landscape viewing angles. The folio cover folds back and there are two sets of grooves that mount iPad. The case has a color-coded elastic band that secures the flap to the case whether in an opened state, or closed.

As with SwitchEasy’s Odyssey case for iPhone 4, the Canvas case comes with a slew of accessories including an anti-static screen protector, a microfiber screen-cleaning guard, a microfiber cloth, and a squeegee to apply the screen protector. The Canvas case offers a lot more protection then other folio cases we’ve seen and reviewed. The edges around iPad are all reinforced, and the casing around iPad is rather thick. Factor in the screen projector, and you can be pretty confident nothings going to happen to your iPad. There’s a small price to pay for the security of iPad, and that’s sacrificing an ultra-thin case for something slightly thicker. The SwitchEasy Canvas folio case for iPad is currently available in black on black, pink on grey, or blue on forest green(pictured). The Canvas from Switcheasy costs $49.99. If you’re looking for a protective, yet usable, case and don’t need something as ultra-thin as Apple’s portfolio case, then you won’t be disappointed. The SwitchEasy Canvas is fun, elegant, and will not easily wear.

Good: Mounts iPad in two angles, good cutouts, easy to insert and remove iPad, scratch-resistant, has pockets, accessories

Bad: Can’t mount iPad in angle ideal for typing
