She’s Refusing To Wear Her Engagement Ring Until She Can Afford To Buy Something Just As Expensive For Her Fiancé

He spent $3,000 on the ring, which her sister was aware of. When he proposed, his fiancée started crying over how gorgeous it was.

She thought the ring was perfect, however, she said she would not put it on her finger until she can afford to get him a present that is the same price (her sister did fill her in on how much the ring cost, so that’s how she knows).

In the meantime, she is wearing a simple gold band that she found online.

The thing is, he doesn’t even know what he would want her to spend $3,000 on for a present, and it makes him upset that this is how she feels.

“It pisses me off that something I spent so much money on is sitting in a box, and probably will forever, since I just don’t want or need the equivalent of a women’s engagement ring,” he said.

“It pisses me off that my family and friends are making comments about me cheaping out, and it pisses me off to see/hear their reactions when my fiancée tries to jump in and explain and makes it worse.”

Everything came to a head when one night, he just said she had to wear the ring and stop with her crap.

She nearly cried, and it made him feel even more terrible.

How would you deal with this?
