This Pregnant 17-Year-Old Disappeared A Decade Ago And Now The Hunt Is On To Find Her Body After A Man Pleaded Guilty To Her Murder

Detectives spent more than a year circling back to interview witnesses again. They also uncovered brand new witnesses they had never spoken to before, and took another look at evidence gathered in Morgan’s case.

After filing 10 court orders, 21 subpoenas, 9 search warrants, and traveling across Alabama and Florida, detectives were able to chase down new leads.

These new leads led right back to Jacobee, the alleged father of Morgan’s unborn baby.

In June of 2016, Jacobee was indicted for the first-degree murder of Morgan, even though she was still nowhere to be found.

“Our investigation shows that Jacobee Flowers planned Morgan’s murder and disposed of her body,” the St. Petersburg Police Department said at the time.

Jacobee recently pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in connection to Morgan’s case, and as part of a plea deal he accepted earlier this month, he has to help authorities locate Morgan’s body in order to get a reduced sentence.

Although it’s now been a decade since Morgan disappeared, her remains and those of her unborn baby have still yet to be recovered.

Authorities have most recently scoured the state of Alabama looking for her, due to information provided to them by Jacobee, but Morgan and her baby remain missing to this day.
