Ellie feels that he’s being mean over a ring that holds so much meaning to her, but again, he just can’t understand why it means enough to her that she feels the need to wear it every single day.
Ellie was married to her late husband for less than a year, which he also thinks should support the fact that Ellie should put her ring away since their marriage wasn’t for very long.
“I think I have the right to not want her to wear it,” he continued. “It’s not like it’s just a normal ring from a friend or something.”
He has consulted his own parents, as well as Ellie’s too, and they all are on his side. They all feel that it’s strange for Ellie to keep wearing her old wedding ring, though Ellie’s sister thinks he’s a terrible person for taking up an issue with this.
He really feels that Ellie will be disrespecting him by wearing this ring when they are officially married.
Do you think he has every right to feel slighted by Ellie’s ring, or do you think he should move on from this?
