When he discovered that his wife bought him a couple of tiny gifts on Amazon to celebrate their anniversary, he felt upset.
He also learned that she got him a “knock-off” of an item he has really wanted to get for himself for quite some time.
This item costs 80% of what he has spent on her, whereas the cheap version of this is only about 1/10th what the real thing costs.
His wife mentioned that she’s cheating out on him here because she wants to be able to spend money on her birthday trip.
She did promise to get him “something nice later on in the year,” but she always promises to do that, and she never follows through.
“I wouldn’t care so much except she literally spends more on her friend’s birthdays/holiday gifts than she does me; we make the same amount in salary, it’s just disheartening,” he said,
“I get it, be grateful for what you have. That being said, guys have feelings as well. If you’re married, spoil your husband once in a while, it will go a long way.”
Would you also be upset if you were in his shoes, or do you think this could come down to a difference in this couple’s love language?
