A 28-year-old woman got engaged to her 30-year-old fiancé a year ago, and she’s been dating him for 5 years total.

About 5 months ago, she moved in with him, and before she even did that, she saw a lot of her fiancé.

If she looks back on their relationship, she has to say that they get along well, and they have a lot of friends as well as their own interests too.

But one thing that she has realized recently is that her fiancé just is not as “present” every time they do spend time with one another.

Her fiancé frequently forgets what she says, he forgets very important dates, he forgets plans that she makes…and the list goes on.

Additionally, their personal life hasn’t been so hot, and that’s not the norm for the two of them.

She did sit down and have a conversation with her fiancé about that 2 weeks ago, and things did change, but she’s wondering why things got like that, to begin with.

Now, 2 days ago she was in her fiancé’s car and they were headed home when she noticed something alarming.

“We are driving home from a sports event and I rest my hand on the passenger’s door handle where the armrest is at,” she explained.

“And I pull up a set of 2 very small rubber bands with blond hairs intertwined in both bands. I am not blonde. Nor do I own any of those rubber bands.”

“I am 100% brunette and none of our close friends or my sister or his sister/mom are blonde. I pulled them closer to him and asked, “who’s are these?”

“He simply responded with, “I don’t know,” I asked again, “well, I’m not blonde, so whose are these?”

Her fiancé kept denying that he knew who the hair ties belonged to, and after that, she stopped speaking to him for the next couple of hours.

After that time had elapsed, she was back at it again, asking her fiancé to tell her what woman those hair ties belonged to.

Her fiancé replied this time that he would do his best to get to the bottom of it before insisting that he would “never disrespect” her “like that.”

Her fiancé also issued an apology to her for making her feel so hurt over the hair ties, but she’s not convinced that he’s not cheating on her.

“I really want to believe that maybe it was a co-worker’s, or just believe him in general, but that hair is evidence, right?” she wondered.

“I have not looked at him the same. The lack of (intimacy) also makes me question if there was another woman this whole time.”

She still feels overwhelmed by all of this, and she’s unsure of what to do.

Do you think there’s a possibility those hair ties do belong to another woman that her fiancé could be seeing, or do you think there’s an innocent reason behind them?
