By the time she returned home, though, she had recalled always feeling a bit cheated out of an experience.
“I mean, I haven’t really gotten to enjoy one of my vacations in five years, and I feel like I am missing out,” she vented.
So, this year, she decided to schedule a vacation to France in January– when her husband does not have off. And according to her, it’s not like this plan was ever a secret.
In fact, she reportedly told her husband that she planned to fly to France alone from the start. But, it appears that her husband assumed she had been joking this entire time because now he is actually begging her not to go.
Apparently, her husband is claiming that he will miss her too much. She thinks that’s ridiculous, though, because she is only going to be gone for two weeks.
She is not even using the full month of paid time off in France and actually plans to spend the other two weeks at home with her husband.
Most importantly, though, she simply just wants to enjoy a vacation and soak up the French culture without worrying about her husband’s attitude. If you could not have guessed it, though, her husband was not cool with that.
Instead, he actually threw a temper tantrum when she reiterated that she was still going on that solo vacation– especially because her boss had already approved the time off.
Then, her husband claimed that she “might as well just stay in France” before calling his mother and getting her involved in the situation.
So, she was forced to deal with a screaming call from her mother-in-law an hour later and had to explain herself all over again.
And now, her husband’s entire family knows about the situation and is actually arguing with one another over her vacation! Even her mother-in-law and father-in-law are taking sides.
