She prepared dinner specifically how her son liked it.
She also provided her sister with a long list of activities that could entertain her son while she was out.
Then, finally, she and her partner entrusted her sister with the kids and went out on the town for about four hours. As soon as they arrived home, though, she realized they had made a massive mistake.
Apparently, she walked in, and McDonald’s wrappers were thrown everywhere. Then, she saw her sister and son watching movies on Amazon Prime on her sister’s smartphone.
And as you can imagine, she was immediately furious. In fact, she admitted to completely going off on her sister, but her sister just did not understand her upset. Instead, she got accused of being too harsh in her own home.
“[My sister] told me I am being ridiculously militant with our son and that he deserved some fun, too. Apparently, the plan was always DoorDash and movies,” she vented.
Now, four days have since passed since that incident, and aside from being pissed at her sister, she has also seen how much that one night of “slip-ups” negatively impacted her son.
For instance, her son’s eating has been way down. It began the very next morning after he was babysat when he apparently pulled out a burger wrapper and signed “more” using American Sign Language (ASL). And ever since, her son has been on a hunger strike.
In a similar vein, her son has also tried to grab her flip phone out of her hands a few times since then.
And even though they do not have any other screens to compare it to in her home, her son still reportedly seemed confused by the difference between her flip phone and her sister’s smartphone.
So, she has understandably been really distraught over the past couple of days. She has also told her sister that it will be “a cold day in hell” before her sister gets to see her children again.
