As for why he cannot just use the guest room as his office, he admitted that he actually considered doing that at first. However, he quickly realized that that arrangement just would not work in terms of noise– because it is on the same floor as the living room and his other children’s rooms.
“So, even behind closed doors, you can hear them yelling and playing,” he added.
Still, because his daughter would not stop bringing up the topic, he claims that she “somehow managed” to get his wife on her side. And ever since then, both his daughter and wife reportedly have not stopped “nagging” him to make a switch.
After a while, though, he got sick and tired of hearing the complaints. So, he reportedly told his daughter and wife “point blank” that he simply refused to give up his office.
But, since he decided to put his foot down, both women have now reportedly begun treating him like he is “the enemy.”
So, with his daughter and wife now icing him out, he has been left wondering whether refusing to turn his home office back into his daughter’s bedroom makes him a real jerk or not.
Is it understandable why he does not want his office on the same level as the living room and his other children’s rooms? If his daughter is moving back home, does she get much of a say? On the flip side, if you were his daughter, how would you feel if you could no longer live in your original room? How can he reconcile this situation?
