Her Teenaged Brother-In-Law Stole The Earrings That Her Husband Bought Her And Her Three Daughters, So She Banned Him From Their House

So, she knows that her brother-in-law was really telling the truth about needing money but not being allowed to ask for it. Still, though, she believes that the teen should’ve never tried to steal, regardless.

After all, had she and her husband not had the surveillance cameras in their daughter’s room, her brother-in-law might have caused an innocent person to lose their job. And obviously, that is far from fair.

In turn, she believed that her brother-in-law needed to be taught a lesson and ultimately told him that until he learned how to behave himself, he was no longer allowed over at her house.

Despite believing that was a fair punishment, though, her mom thinks she was way too harsh. In fact, her mom believes that her brother-in-law is still just a kid and she should be more understanding.

“But I’m not going to change my mind,” she vented.

Still, though, with her mom giving her pushback, she has been left wondering whether banning her brother-in-law from her home was a reasonable consequence or not.

Can you understand why her brother-in-law might have felt like his only option was to steal? At the same time, does that make it okay? What if he had gotten her housekeeper fired? Do you believe her ban is too harsh or is it a justified punishment?
