Calling all sushi lovers! Now that I’ve got your attention, I’m urging you to check out a recipe that will appease your sushi cravings. And what’s more? It doesn’t require the painstaking acts of rolling and slicing.

This sushi bake is essentially like a deconstructed California roll, composed of all the flavors you know and love. It is savory, creamy, and comforting.

The effort it takes to make the sushi bake is much less demanding than traditional sushi. But even though it’s easily done, it doesn’t fall short on flavor.

TikToker @myhealthydish has an easy and delicious sushi bake recipe that will make you want to eat the whole dish in one sitting, then immediately start making more. Her video has accumulated over eight million views on TikTok.

Here is everything you need to know to make the perfect sushi bake.

Ingredients:

-A cup of short-grain rice

-One and a half cups of imitation crab

-Salmon

-A half cup of green onions

-Two ounces of cream cheese

-Three tablespoons of kewpie mayo

-Sesame oil

-Aji-mirin

-Furikake seasoning

Directions:

The instructions for this recipe are pretty simple. First, measure out one cup of short-grain rice. Don’t forget to wash the rice before you cook it! That is always a must.

Next, add a cup of water, stick it in the rice cooker, and after a little while, you’ll have fresh, fluffy, and fragrant rice at the ready. And all you had to do was hit a button to prepare it.

If you don’t have a rice cooker already, I highly recommend that you purchase one. They are so convenient and totally worth the price, especially if you’re always eating rice.

Then, break up some salmon in a bowl, and add in the imitation crab, green onions, cream cheese, and kewpie mayo. Combine the ingredients together.

Once the rice is finished cooking, scoop it into a casserole dish. Drizzle a bit of sesame oil, Furikake rice seasoning, and mirin over the top. If you don’t know what mirin is, it’s basically just a sweet rice seasoning.

Flatten the rice into the dish and evenly layer the salmon mixture on top. Then, sprinkle some more Furikake and mayo over it. You can even add Sriracha sauce if you’d like.

Finally, bake it at 350 degrees for twenty-five minutes. And there you have it! It’s a dish that people will be sure to obsess over at potlucks and other gatherings. Enjoy it with sheets of roasted seaweed.
