She Decided To Brag About Her Boyfriend On Social Media On Their Anniversary, But A Friend Reached Out And Accused Her Of Making Other People Question Their Own Relationships

Once she actually posted the images, though, one of her friends wound up messaging her with a weird response.

“Congratulations!! Go off, girl, making people question their own relationship, lol. But aren’t you just flexing the things he’s doing for you?” her friend said.

“To appreciate someone is to show them off, and not necessarily the things they do for you, no? I’m saying this because I’m like, you should do both. Not saying as if you don’t already, but I guess online. But that doesn’t matter now that I’m thinking about it.”

After reading that message, she tried to explain to he friend how she does show her appreciation to her boyfriend. Obviously, though, she cannot catch every little moment on camera to post.

And if she did, she realizes it would be like those viral couple videos where they obviously set up a camera first.

Then, those couples try to seem natural with fake captions like, “Look how cute she is when she’s not being recorded.”

Since that just seems inauthentic, she just doesn’t see the point in constantly posting whenever she is really happy with her boyfriend.

Plus, she claimed that if she did, then she would just be spamming her followers with relationship content at that point.

“And we both love to live in the moment instead of trying to catch it on our phones,” she added.

Regardless, she is feeling pretty disheartened by her friend’s response to the anniversary post. After all, this was her first time publicly posting about her boyfriend, and now, she doesn’t really want to do it ever again.

“It feels like I am being called selfish, and I am wrong for what I did,” she vented.
