She believes her friend’s boyfriend is a big encourager of her mean behavior because she’s never had a great connection with him. However, her friend continues to act cold even when her boyfriend isn’t around.
Additionally, she thinks that any kindness she gets from her friend is only given because they’re supposed to be going to the Taylor Swift concert together.
They’re supposed to be together every moment of that night, and she doesn’t feel comfortable going with someone who’s been treating her so terribly. Her friend already paid her back for her ticket, but now, she’s considering selling it because she doesn’t want to go with her anymore.
“I know it probably seems mean to just sell the ticket and take away her chance of seeing Taylor, but the idea of sitting next to her for 3 hours, plus the hours that it’ll take to drive there, plus any time in a hotel, makes me miserable,” she explained.
She would give her friend all of her money back since she has no intention of stealing her money. She’d also have a conversation with her friend before actually selling the ticket. At the end of the day, she just doesn’t want to have that special night ruined by someone who doesn’t enjoy her company.
“A lot of people are under the impression I want revenge, but genuinely that is not the case,” she added.
“I’d much rather go with her. We’ve been friends forever. But no matter what I do or say, she refuses to treat me the way I deserve as of recently.”
Should she sell her friend’s ticket or go with her despite the way she’s been treating her?
