“People can hear you, and this is a public bathroom for the people who live in this wing. It’s really uncomfortable to hear what’s going on,” she told them.
Then, she even put up a sign on the bathroom door that basically said the same thing at the suggestion of the RA. Thankfully, the students who had been in the shower stopped after she intervened. Then, she was finally able to get in bed without hearing any uncomfortable noises.
Ever since she told off the other students, though, she’s starting to question whether she was being unreasonable. After all, she understands what it’s like being a college student.
“But, at the same time…you can hear the noise most of the time– which is uncomfortable when you go to wash your hands or write a paper,” she vented.
Regardless, she’s now been left wondering if addressing the shower hook-up issue inside her college residence hall was the wrong thing to do.
Why do you think various couples have now opted to get it on in the dorm bathroom out of nowhere? Can you understand why that’s uncomfortable and annoying to listen to? Did she have a right to say something? What would you have done?
