Nora and Jane tried to explain that they thought this would help Julia learn how to swim, but of course, as her mother, she was extremely frustrated with the older girls for thinking that this was an okay thing to do.
She began to lose her temper, yelling at the girls for blindly following things that they saw on the internet. Before things got more heated, her husband came over to calm her down, and they took Julia inside.
After this interaction, her mother-in-law is now upset with her for yelling at Jane and Nora and essentially sided with them. While Jane apologized to her, Nora still didn’t think that she had done anything wrong.
“I am still very [angry] because Julia was having a mental breakdown about getting into the bath due to what had happened,” she added.
Do you think it was rude of her to raise her voice at Jane and Nora, or do you think that they deserved it for what they did to Julia? Do you think they have learned their lesson?
