The nurse claimed that the tooth was pretty loose, though, and that she was just concerned his son might accidentally swallow it.
“I said, ‘Then why didn’t you call me? You are not a dentist, and you caused him pain,'” he detailed.
Well, the woman explained how she had been a nurse for years– implying she knew what she was doing. But he pointed out how her long career meant that she should have known better than to pull a tooth without contacting him as a parent.
Plus, he accused the school nurse of being disgraceful and unprofessional before going to the school’s vice principal.
The vice principal confirmed that pulling teeth is not within the nurse’s scope of work and agreed that he should have been notified first.
“And the vice principal was [angry] that the school nurse didn’t even send a note that my son saw her, which is standard,” he added.
Still, he got told that he could’ve toned down his “daddy bear” attitude a bit when approaching the school nurse about the situation.
So now, he’s been left wondering if he went too far by reporting the school nurse and claiming she’s not a dentist.
