She also suddenly found herself with a ton of free time, and she started doing things like any single woman would.
She went dancing, and she then met a guy whom she felt immediately attracted to. She then approached her husband about trying an open marriage, which he said yes to.
She slept with this other guy 2 times, and she still talks to him, though everything is super casual between them.
But she’s left feeling like this guy is way more exciting than her husband ever has been, and that’s leaving her wanting more.
She knows her life could be different if she found a man who shares her interests and is just more attractive to her.
“Last night, I told my husband I’m not attracted to him anymore,” she said. “This was a difficult thing to tell someone I love very much, and it felt like, for the first time, we were heading for divorce.”
“He is objectively a good-looking person, but I find his lack of ambition, his inattention to his physical appearance, and his boring conversations all add up to me not being attracted to him anymore. He is very distraught because he loves me so much.”
“He is a great partner in life, but I just feel the need to explore other people and have different experiences. I’m extroverted and find it easier to make new friends (although still a hassle in my 30s…), I try to have varied interests, and I feel like he is always adopting my friends and my hobbies like he isn’t bringing much to the table in that regard.”
She wants to be able to explore being with different guys, and maybe even a few at the same time, which is bringing her a whole lot of joy to think about.
Her husband has since said to her that he can start doing some of the activities she likes, such as going out, but she feels like he’s attempting to change who he is just to keep her.
She just wants to move on with her life and find an exciting guy or guys. Another thing is that she began dating her husband when she was incredibly young, and she wants a new opportunity to explore who she is while she’s still hot and young.
