This 28-year-old woman and her sister, who is 26, have always had a great relationship. So, after her sister recently got engaged, she was over the moon.

Her sister wound up inviting their entire family, along with a few friends, to the wedding. But, just four days before the event was set to take place, tragedy struck.

While she was riding her bike around her neighborhood, she accidentally made a sharp turn and wound up falling face-first onto the concrete.

“I bruised my leg, part of my face, and my arms,” she recalled.

Due to her injuries, she also didn’t think that she should attend her sister’s wedding anymore.

Well, once that news made it back to her sister a few hours later, there was a massive argument.

While she was at home treating her injuries, her sister was furious that she couldn’t go to the event because of “some dumb scar.”

Then, her sister even accused her of getting hurt on purpose just so she wouldn’t have to see her ex– who just so happens to be her sister’s friend and will be at the wedding.

An hour later, her mom reached out, too, and sent her a long paragraph. Within the message, she got called selfish and a liar.

However, she claimed to have two good reasons why she refused to go to the wedding after the accident. First of all, she felt extremely dizzy and nauseous following the crash.

“Second, I could not dare walk into a public area with a large, bright red dot on my forehead,” she added.

Anyway, after her husband, Damien, heard about what happened, he decided not to go to her sister’s wedding anymore, either. Apparently, he just didn’t like the way her sister was treating her.

So, it is now three days until her sister’s ceremony, and she is still feeling very sick. Yet, her mother has continued to scold her for not attending despite her not feeling well right now.

Her mother pointed out how her sister has attended all of her own milestone events– including her graduation and her wedding.

“And I accept that. But getting bombarded by angry messages from my mom because I got hurt is horrible in my eyes,” she vented.

Still, ever since getting such pushback from her family, she’s been left wondering whether not going to her sister’s wedding due to her accident makes her a real jerk.

Does it sound like she tried to get into a biking accident before the big day? Regardless, should she be feeling so sick after taking a fall off her bike? How would you feel if you were in her sister’s shoes? What would you do?
