He Accused His Girlfriend Of Trying To “Baby Trap” Him After He Made It Clear That He Didn’t Want Kids And Got Called Insane
This man and his girlfriend have been in a relationship for the last three years.
They met when they were both 20 years old.
For quite a while, he had been able to envision getting married to his girlfriend. In his mind, she had all the qualities he dreamed of in a wife.
When he and his girlfriend first started dating, he informed her that he never wanted to have children, and he didn’t want to adopt in the future, either.
At the time, she told her that this was fine, and she accepted his decision not to have children.
Everything went well throughout their relationship, and a few months ago, they moved in together.
However, he noticed some drastic changes, and he has been reflecting on his girlfriend’s behavior.
“My girlfriend would do things like send me baby TikToks or show me pictures of nursing rooms on Pinterest. I always commented that they looked nice, and she seemed kind of dreamy about it. I always kind of assumed this was temporary baby fever and didn’t think anything of it,” he said.
Later, his girlfriend began having discussions with his mother about children. She wanted to see photos from when he was a baby and asked his mother about her experience with raising him.

Once this started happening, he grew concerned. His mother told him one day that his girlfriend would be a wonderful mother to their children, and this idea made him feel nauseated because he didn’t want to ever be a father in the first place.
“This has been going on for a while, but recently, my girlfriend has started buying baby clothes. When I asked her about it, she claimed it was just because she thought it was cute. I highly doubt that. Obviously, she’s been trying to tell me she wants a baby but without outright telling me,” he explained.
His girlfriend is currently on birth control, but he acknowledged that she could have stopped taking it without him knowing. While he does also use protection as well, he doesn’t do so all the time because sometimes he doesn’t have protection on hand.
Due to this possibility, he rejected her advances when she wanted to be intimate over the last several days, which made her unhappy. He made the excuse that he was feeling sick, but she didn’t seem to believe him.
Yesterday, his girlfriend wanted to have a discussion to find out what was wrong. She told him that he seemed uncomfortable around her lately, and she wondered why.
Without thinking, he told her that he didn’t want to have a baby, and she asked him what he was talking about.
From there, he went over all the things she’d been doing that made it appear like she was hinting that she wanted a baby.
“She said I was insane for thinking that she would attempt to become pregnant with our child without my permission. She left to stay with a friend now, and I am completely confused. There is no way I misread those signs, and I feel like the way she’s been wanting intimacy lately kind of speaks for my assumption with the birth control,” he shared.
The thought of his girlfriend potentially already being pregnant made him sick to his stomach.
He does hope to eventually be sterilized, but he doesn’t live in the United States, and every time he has inquired about the procedure with doctors, he’s been rejected because they say he isn’t old enough yet and they are concerned that he will have regrets.
Now, he wonders if he made too big of a deal out of the situation, and he wasn’t sure if there was a better way to explain his fears to his girlfriend.
