Her Sister Sold Her Puppy While She Was On Vacation, As She Needed The Money

Not too long ago, this 24-year-old girl got a six-month-old male Greyhound puppy, and she named him Goose.

She has always dreamed of having a Greyhound, and she was so excited to welcome Goose into her home.

Then, her friends invited her to go on a week-long vacation, but luckily, her 32-year-old sister May offered to watch Goose for her.

She gave May some money to spend on Goose in case he needed more food, toys, or anything else while she was away.

May has a 7-year-old daughter, who adores Goose, so she was comfortable with the petsitting arrangement.

She left for vacation with her friends, and everything was excellent until the final day of her trip. She received a call from May, saying Goose had run away and she couldn’t locate him anywhere.

“I was very devastated when I heard that,” she explained. “So I came home from my travel a bit [earlier] to see if I [could] find Goose. But I couldn’t. I asked May how he got out.”

May mentioned she let Goose out to exercise a bit, and 20 minutes later, when she went outside to get him, he was no longer there in her backyard.

May started to panic and then ended up calling her to tell her the bad news. She was so upset after May lost Goose.

Her friends attempted to make her feel better, but nothing really worked. However, her best friend Cora then found out through social media that a family had found Goose.

The family happened to be friends with May’s daughter, so she quickly reached out to the family to tell them they had her missing puppy.

She asked if she could have Goose back in her message, but they declined to give him back, stating that May said she no longer wanted her puppy.

She pleaded with the family to return Goose to her, even pointing out that he was microchipped in her name and she never wanted to get rid of him.

She eventually told the family she would give them any sum of money just to get her puppy back, and they blocked her.

She immediately ran over to May’s house for answers, and when May opened up the door, she flipped out on her.

May claimed at first that Goose had run away, but then after she confronted May with the text messages between her and the family who had Goose, May caved.

“She told me she needed the money for my niece,” she said. “That the money they needed was more important than [my] dog. So I barged into her house and took her dog, Dazey.”

“She yelled at me that I can’t take Dazey. I told her that since she gave my pup away, I could take hers…I said she better get Goose back, or I would take legal action. I left with Dazey and [am] now sitting at home wondering if [I’m a jerk].”

Do you think she handled this the right way?
