Here Are All The Real Reasons Why There’s No Romance In Your Relationship And What You Can Actually Do About It

When you and your partner are super busy, hardly see each other throughout the day, and are exhausted from work, school, or other responsibilities, it can be extremely hard to ‘get in the mood.’

However, it’s important to remember that physical and emotional attraction go hand in hand. It’s hard to be romantic if you haven’t taken a moment to appreciate how beautiful or handsome your partner is.

You’re not making time for one another

I get it; life gets in the way of dating and romance, and sometimes, we’re too busy to do anything special with our partners. However, it’s a good idea to remember that you entered a relationship with this person because you enjoy spending time with them.

If you haven’t been feeling any romance in your relationship, it’s likely because you’re not making enough time for it.

Sit down with your partner and pick out a designated weeknight for date night, vow to spend at least 30 minutes to an hour together without screens at the end of a work day, and overall focus on being more present with your partner in your alone time with them.

There’s a lack of appreciation

When we get stuck in a routine with our partners and are with them for a long time, we begin to take them for granted and lose our appreciation for them.

Show your partner how much you appreciate them through gifts, kind words, quality time, etc. Making someone feel appreciated is incredibly romantic.

When you start feeling romance slipping out of your life, gently communicate those feelings to your partner and figure out how to work together to bring it back. Plan date nights, spend less time on your screens and more time with each other, be affectionate, and even seek help from a relationship counselor if you have to.

I promise romance can come back if you work a little harder to find it. Good luck!
