Seeing His Cheating Ex-Wife In The Grocery Store Was Incredibly Painful For Him, Even Though He’s Now Married To Her Affair Partner’s Former Wife
Back when this man was young, he irresponsibly got married to a girl he wasn’t positive he even loved.
At the time, he also couldn’t confirm that this girl loved him either, but they were married for four years.
Two years into being married to his wife, they stopped sleeping together and were not really sharing their lives at all.
“I still thought we were at least friends for the entire time though, but that was not the case. My coworker (whom I’m now married to) told me that she found out that her husband was having an affair with my wife for the last year and a half of my marriage…,” he explained.
“Long story short, I divorced my [now] ex-wife; she (current wife) divorced her husband at the time. We began a relationship with each other eventually, and we’ve now been married for 15 years and together for 17.”
“I only spoke to my ex-wife once after the day I found out she’d been having an affair, but a friend of hers has been the secretary at the department I work at for almost a decade now, and I knew from her where my ex-wife works.”
So, this week, his current wife mentioned that she’s been having cravings for a dish that requires a very particular kind of roll to make.
The thing about these rolls is that they’re not sold in any grocery stores where they live or even work.
He ended up finding a grocery store that sells them, but the grocery store is located half a block away from his ex-wife’s office.

On Sunday, he made the trip to this grocery store to buy the rolls, and he figured that since it was the weekend, his ex-wife couldn’t possibly be in the area.
Unfortunately, his plan to pick up the rolls in peace was foiled, as his ex-wife happened to be in the grocery store at the same time as him.
“I saw her while I was shopping there, and despite not speaking to her and her possibly not even seeing me, just seeing her was really painful and [messed] up my day,” he said.
“There was no love lost between us, but there was a lot of respect and friendship lost, and her cheating on me was very, very painful, though I suppose without it, I might not have ever married my current wife, who is my soulmate.”
“[It] still doesn’t really take the pain away from seeing my ex-wife, though. I should have just made an Amazon Prime account and ordered those rolls.”
