She Thinks That Her Sister Is Just Faking Several Illnesses And Abusing Their Parents Financially, All While Her Parents Enable The Behavior

This woman’s 23-year-old sister lives at their parents’ house, has no job, and isn’t attending college. Her sister has asserted that she had multiple illnesses.
However, she’s never received any official diagnoses because she always says she’s too ill to go to the doctor to get tested.
“My parents completely enable her, and they tell family she has been diagnosed with these things when she has not,” she said.
Last week, she learned that her sister was on a several-week trip to Scotland. This is the second time her sister’s been in Scotland in the last half a year, and the last time was also for weeks at a time.
Plus, their parents paid for these vacations. Her parents kept this second trip to Scotland a secret from her, and she heard about it from a cousin.
She was furious that her parents didn’t seem to bat an eye at paying for her sister to travel to Scotland twice, but they refused to assist her with health insurance for two months while she didn’t have a job.
“My sister picks and chooses when these conditions flare up (lately, it’s been POTS, MCAS, hEDS, and endo). I sent my parents and sister a letter via email about how I think my sister is abusing my parents financially and my parents are enabling her,” she explained.
In her view, it’s unacceptable for her parents to act as if her sister has been diagnosed with all these illnesses when that isn’t the case. She ended her email by expressing that her sister needed mental healthcare because she’s been untreated for any mental illnesses that she may have.
Unfortunately, her parents were enraged with this email and didn’t handle it well.

“They cut me off the phone bill and stole my phone number. It’s now downloaded into their phone with my old phone number. They pulled my phone logs and changed streaming passwords,” she shared.
Then, her parents concocted a story to tell extended family members about how her husband supposedly screamed at them. However, the story was completely made up.
She’s shocked that they responded to her email this way and is worried that she permanently destroyed her relationships with her parents and sister.
What advice would you give her?
