There’s a lot of social pressure to drop a bunch of money on date night. So, just because a guy takes you on a fancy date, it does not necessarily mean that they’re into you.

TikToker Katrina (@akatrinaeffect) is 30-years-old, and she dated an older man who showed up at her house late at night after she blocked him due to his lack of effort and interest in her.

She met the 55-year-old man on a dating app. For their first date, he took her out to a Michelin-star restaurant. He also bought her two dozen roses. She thought he was really handsome and generous.

They hit it off right away. However, a little while later, she sensed that the energy had shifted.

She wasn’t sure if he had started talking to someone else, but he was communicating with her less frequently and didn’t make as much effort to see her.

She was not the type of person who would tolerate love bombing, breadcrumbing, or any other of the toxic tactics of emotional manipulation that often show up in the modern dating scene. She did not think it was worth it to get herself worked up over a man’s confusing actions.

So, she decided to move on from him and block his phone number. Four days later, she heard a knock on her door at ten o’clock at night.

She never answered the door, but she got the feeling that the visitor was someone she knew, most likely the guy she had blocked.

He ended up calling her from a different phone number. When she answered, he asked if she had blocked him.
