To be clear, she realizes that no one can claim a specific name entirely for themselves. She even knows other people outside of their family with the name Owen.
“But we made a point when naming our son not to name him after any relatives. Of all the names to choose from, she has to choose the same name as our 1-year-old?” she asked.
Given her sister-in-law’s track record, she’s not even that surprised. Still, she finds the name change really upsetting, and her husband, his other siblings, and her mother-in-law all agree with her.
Still, she can’t help but wonder if getting annoyed at her sister-in-law over this is reasonable or not.
