Summer camp is not all about s’mores and sing-alongs. TikToker Jordan (@jordsashleiigh) is sharing a summer camp horror story from a follower named Ellie.
When Ellie was 16 years old, she was sent to a summer camp for kids with behavioral issues. It was supposed to be a fun place where you could play games and meet new people, but it was actually more like a prison. Nobody, not even the camp counselors, enjoyed themselves while they were there.
One night, Ellie decided to sneakily smoke a cigarette behind her accommodation building. That was when she overheard a counselor yelling at another kid. She didn’t want the counselor to catch her, so she hid in a dark corner.
“She noticed this counselor and the student go in and shut the door,” said Jordan. “It was quite late at night, and she knew this door would be locked, but she decided just to wait out there a little bit longer and say she got lost.”
That way, when she knocked on the door to come back inside, the counselor wouldn’t be so mad at her. But all of a sudden, she was overcome with a sense of dread. She could feel that something terrible was about to happen.
While she was walking back to the door, she noticed a person standing in the tree line. She thought it was another kid who had snuck out and got locked out, so she shouted over at him. However, this person turned their back, got on all fours, and crawled into the forest.
Ellie’s jaw dropped, and she felt nauseated. She ran to the door and banged on it. The camp counselor opened the door and was really annoyed.
He ordered Ellie to get to bed and wasn’t willing to listen to her. She didn’t get the chance to tell the other girls because they were asleep.
She lay in bed, thinking about the freak crawling into the forest. Eventually, she fell asleep. But then, she was woken by some weird slapping sounds.

The sound was coming from the hallway, so she looked toward the door and saw the person running around on all fours again. She chalked it up to paranoia and went back to sleep.
She woke up a second time with a feeling that someone was watching her. She looked toward the door and saw the crawling man sitting in the doorway like a dog, just staring at her. Ellie screamed, causing the guy to stand up and run away.
The counselors rushed into the room and asked her what had happened, but since it was a camp for kids with behavioral issues, they didn’t really believe her story.
Still, they had to make a police report. The police interviewed Ellie and the other girls to see if they had noticed any strangers around.
The police couldn’t find any evidence that a stranger had been on the premises. Ellie stayed at the camp for another three weeks without incident. There was no other sighting of this creepy, crawling dog-man.
“I’ve read about men being absolute weirdos like this,” Jordan said.
“Doesn’t surprise me. And I 100% do believe that an absolute creep of a man would be acting very weird around an accommodation full of girls. It’s literally written in textbook.”
