Family vacations are usually remembered for sunburns and overpriced souvenirs, not life-altering affairs. TikToker Julianne (@juliannemilla) shared a short clip of her family playing mini-golf as their world came crashing down around them.
“Rare aesthetic: your mom cheated on your dad mid-vacation, and we had to find a hotel and finish the vacation ourselves,” she wrote in the text overlay of the video.
In a follow-up video, she explained in detail what happened. Her mother cheated on her father with a guy named Eddie, who knew that they were married.
For some context, her mom lives in Florida while her dad lives in Iowa. Even though her parents were living in different houses, they weren’t separated or going through the process of divorce.
Julianne’s mom was living in Florida because they were building a house down there, and the law required someone to be in the house.
Her mom planned to get a job as a police officer in Florida, but instead, she became a real estate agent and still hasn’t sold a single house.
“Anyway, my dad was not abusive to her in any way,” Julianne clarified. “A lot of people are asking why she cheated. We just assumed that my dad hadn’t seen her in a while, and she was getting bored and lonely, so she decided to go cheat on my dad.”
Before the family vacation, her dad had been noticing that her mom wasn’t calling as much. He got the feeling that something was up.
One time, while her mom, dad, and brother were all in the car together, Eddie called her, and her mom declined the call right away.

When her dad questioned who had called, her mom tried to claim that she didn’t know. Her dad immediately knew that she was cheating.
Then, Julianne’s brother went through her social media and found flirty comments from Eddie. They were super obvious about the affair and didn’t seem to be making any effort to hide it at all.
Her mom waited to spill the beans until her dad was boarding a plane back to Iowa. She never admitted the cheating to Julianne or her brother, so they pretended they didn’t know anything about it.
They discovered that Eddie was from Colorado. He was a police officer and a bodybuilder. Julianne’s mom was also a bodybuilder and an ex-cop.
Julianne’s aunt lives in Colorado, and she thinks her aunt set them up.
“My aunt also cheated on her husband, so it actually makes sense that she would literally help my mom cheat on her husband,” said Julianne.
“So, that’s how we think they met. But if you do some digging, Eddie has body cam footage of him and a mentally disabled teen. Yes, it’s public. He also has a daughter. We don’t know how old she is.”
In addition, Julianne found plane tickets to Colorado that her dad had paid for. Her mom had also Googled how to transfer her real estate license to Colorado, meaning that she was planning on moving in with Eddie, even though she barely knew him.
When Julianne scrolled through her mom’s phone, she uncovered pictures that her mom was sending to Eddie.
During the vacation, Julianne took her mom’s checkbooks and secretly left in the middle of the night. The next morning, she threatened to call the cops on Julianne.
She even blocked Julianne on almost every platform. Julianne has made sure that her whole extended family, the people in her hometown, and the internet know about her mom’s infidelity.
