When TikToker Renee (@reneewey) received a collect call from the county jail, she found out that her husband was cheating on her. Back in 2021, she was married to her husband, who was in the military.
He often went out with his friends to the American Legion in the area where they lived. They would get drinks and play darts or pool.
However, there was another reason he kept going to the American Legion. It was also common for him to be out until three or four in the morning. She always went to bed at a normal time because they had two kids at home.
One night, while she was asleep, her phone started ringing. She didn’t recognize the phone number, so she just went back to bed.
But then, it immediately rang again. She answered the phone, and it turned out to be her husband calling from jail.
“He’s on the other line, and he’s so belligerently drunk that he is not making any sense,” Renee recalled. “I can’t even piece together what’s happening.”
She had never dealt with anything like this before, so she called her best friend, who came over to stay with the kids while she went down to the jail.
She signed some papers and waited in a cold, uncomfortable hallway for two hours before he was released. They went home, and she put him to bed because he was still super drunk.
When he finally woke up, he told her the story of what happened. He was at the Legion and was about to leave at 2 a.m. when a car pulled up.

Several guys got out of the car, brandishing their weapons. Apparently, they were trying to take his car. He pulled out his weapon, and the guys got into his car and started to drive away.
They fired shots at each other. No one was injured. He called the cops to report his stolen vehicle. When the cops arrived, they saw that he was drunk and holding a weapon, so they arrested him. He was convinced that he hadn’t done anything wrong.
He went back to the Legion and asked them for the security camera footage. He played the footage at home, and Renee saw that he hadn’t been alone when he went out to his car.
A girl named Megan was with him, and when she asked about her, he became extremely angry.
Later, he went to meet a lawyer, but he also had to go to Megan’s house to get their stories straight. He stopped going to the Legion until things died down.
A couple of months later, he bought a new phone and left his old phone on the nightstand.
The phone started to vibrate with messages from Megan, confirming that Renee’s husband had been cheating. He refused to admit he was cheating and was very manipulative when she tried to leave the marriage.
Megan wasn’t the only one he had been cheating with, either. There was a series of side chicks, and he even cheated with the bartender of a bar they used to go to. Now, she is way better off without him.
