Several nights ago, around 11:40 p.m., TikToker Mike (@experiencemike) received a voicemail from his own phone number. The weird part was that it hadn’t been sent yet.

He stared at the notification for a little while and figured that it was just a glitch on the phone company’s part. He decided to play the voicemail.

At first, he heard nothing but the sound of breathing. Then, he heard his voice, which was frantic and terrified. In the message, he said, “Do not go home. Keep driving.”

After that, the message cut out. Mike laughed nervously and checked the details of his call log. That was when he realized the voicemail had been left at midnight, which was 26 minutes into the future because it was not actually midnight just yet.

He sat there, staring at the phone screen. Suddenly, his phone started ringing. The call was from his own number. He answered the phone and heard static. Then, he heard his own voice say, “You need to listen to me.”

He hung up the phone immediately. He didn’t know what else to do, so he got in his car and went for a drive to clear his head. Around midnight, he turned back down onto his street and saw that his porch light was on.

His stomach dropped because he never left his porch light on. So, he stopped in the middle of the road and stared at his house, trying to see what was going on.

“Everything looked normal, except there was a figure standing in my window, just a silhouette, standing completely still, watching the street,” said Mike.

“My phone rang again from my number. I answered, and my voice whispered, ‘That’s not me.'”

Many TikTok users described spooky phone calls they had received themselves in the comments section.

“My ex and I were woken up by a call from his mom, who was frantic because she said his number just called her and said, ‘Mom, help me.’ I always wonder if him from another timeline was saving current him from dying in his sleep,” commented one user.

“I got a call from a baby at 3 a.m., saying, ‘Mommy.’ I called the number back. Back in the day, you could dial *69. The parents answered and said there’s no way their kid could call. He was six months old,” shared another.

“My grandma passed away in 2009. My dad and his siblings were going to sell her house, and one day, my grandma’s number called us on our landline. My dad answered, but it was completely silent, and the weird thing was that the number she had wasn’t active anymore. So, my dad drove to her house, went inside, and found a leak in the bathroom. The funny thing is, my dad is a plumber, and I think she wanted him to fix it before it got water damage,” added someone else.

I got a voicemail from myself 26 minutes before it was sent. It told me not to go home. When I finally got to my street… I understood why. #storytime #midnightstories #unexplained #glitch #creepy
