One night, TikToker @naash.fm was hanging out with her friend. It was a completely normal night. But her friend went missing shortly after leaving her house around midnight, and it turned out he was arrested.
At first, she didn’t think anything of the fact that he didn’t check in with her when he got home. She assumed he was tired and just headed straight to bed. However, the silence stretched on longer than usual.
The next day, she started to get worried because he hadn’t texted her at all, which was unlike him. She tried calling, but it went to voicemail right away.
She spent the day confused, worried, and anxious with a growing sense that something was seriously wrong. She waited until the end of the day to see if he would call or text her back. Eventually, she took action.
When she received no response, she called his workplace and asked around. They told her that he did not come into work. That’s when the situation began to feel real. This wasn’t just someone sleeping in or being forgetful. Clearly, something had happened.
She then reached out to her sister in a panic to tell her that her friend was missing. Her sister suggested that she pick her up so they could look for him together.
On her way to pick up her sister, she drove through a parking lot and something caught her eye. She spotted what she thought was her friend’s car. As she got closer, her stomach dropped. It was definitely his car.
The vehicle was abandoned at the far end of the parking lot. After picking up her sister, they headed to a nearby fast-food restaurant to discuss what might have happened. The possibilities seemed endless and terrifying.
Later that night, a cop pulled her over while she was driving her sister back home. She had forgotten to turn her headlights on, so the officer let her off with a warning.

The interaction made her realize what might have happened to her friend.
“That’s when it clicked,” said @naash.fm. “I was like, he probably got pulled over last night, and he’s probably in jail.”
The next day, she received a call from him. He explained that he had been pulled over and arrested for multiple unpaid tickets. He had been in jail for the last 24 hours, unable to contact anyone. And just like that, the mystery was solved.
Luckily, the worst-case scenario hadn’t happened, but the emotional rollercoaster of not knowing was something she would not forget anytime soon.
Perhaps friends should be obligated to inform you that they got home safe after all. It’s the unspoken rule of friendship that needs to be taken more seriously so that friends don’t have to unnecessarily worry about each other.
