The first few weeks of marriage should be filled with newlywed bliss, sweet honeymoon memories, and slowly settling into married life, not discovering evidence of an affair that happened just before you tied the knot.

In November 2017, TikToker Lexi (@leximcauley1) got married, but later found out that her husband had had an affair right before their wedding.

Eight weeks before their wedding, there was one day in September when she was unable to get in touch with her fiancé at the time.

She had no idea what he was doing, where he was, or who he was with, so she was worried. She didn’t hear from him for 36 hours. During those 36 hours, Lexi had driven back and forth to Alabama from Tennessee to get her dog from her mother-in-law’s house.

She mentioned that her fiancé had been M.I.A., which worried her mother-in-law as well. The next day, he finally reached out to Lexi. He told her that he and some friends had partied too hard, and he knocked out for 36 hours.

They got married in November and went on their honeymoon. Three weeks after their honeymoon, a big snowstorm hit Nashville. He and his friend wanted to go sledding at a golf course near their house.

She drove them to the golf course, and as they hopped out of the vehicle, her husband accidentally left his phone behind.

Her instincts were telling her to go through his phone, which was something she had never done before. So, she picked up the phone, scrolled, and found hundreds of messages involving other girls.

But the one that really stuck out to her was the group chat in which her husband was bragging about what he did with “redheaded Rachel.”

Apparently, the whole friend group knew about redheaded Rachel, and they had all hooked up with her before. Lexi reached out to Rachel, and she spilled details about Lexi’s husband.

Rachel told her everything and even gave her doorbell camera footage as proof. Suddenly, his mysterious 36-hour disappearance was all adding up. Eventually, Lexi confronted her husband.

“You’re upset; you’re freaking out,” said Lexi. “You don’t know what to do because you just got married, and you find out your husband had an affair during those 36 hours that he wasn’t contacting you while you’re at your mother-in-law’s house getting your dog seven or eight weeks before the wedding.”

The next night, Lexi’s brother and one of his friends came over to help support her during this difficult time. However, her brother decided to make fried Oreo balls and started a fire.

He tried to put out the grease fire with water, and her whole apartment burst into flames. Lexi had to move in with her parents while attempting to figure out her life.
