On April 30, 2025, TikToker Ashley (@ashley_wagy) woke up at 6 a.m. to her home being raided by the FBI. She was lying in bed with her husband, and her kids were about to get ready for school.
Suddenly, a full SWAT team burst in with flash bombs, destroying her life as she knew it.
The FBI kicked everyone out, searched the whole house, and separated Ashley’s husband from the rest of the family. That was the last time the kids ever saw their father.
“I remember the only thing I was able to say over and over was, ‘I don’t understand,’ because I didn’t,” she recalled.
“We had just moved into the house two days prior. I thought maybe there was something about the house, the previous owner. Like, I didn’t know what was going on. I had no idea.”
She was questioned about his online activity and recent behavior. As the questioning continued on, she started to figure out why the FBI was there. Her husband had been engaging in online activities involving minors.
Ashley never realized this was happening because he had covered his tracks well. Even the FBI admitted that he had done a good job of hiding what he was doing. Still, Ashley felt totally stupid.
“On that day, he lost his job, obviously. He has not been back to the home since, and now, he is in jail. He was arrested about a month or two prior,” said Ashley.
“They took all of our computers. They took my computer. They took my oldest child’s computer. They did investigations, and he was subsequently arrested and is in jail awaiting trial.”

Throughout the day, she had a few phone calls with her husband, but he refused to tell her anything about why the FBI had come. She didn’t know where he was at all. She was also in communication with his family so they could make arrangements for him.
After the FBI searched their phones, she called her best friend, who dropped everything and came right over. She has stayed by her side ever since and even moved into their house.
They had to go to the CPS office after the FBI left so Ashley’s children could be interviewed. That took about three hours. Then, Ashley was finally told in detail what her husband did.
She shut down for days, and her best friend helped her through everything, jotting down information and reaching out to victim and emergency services.
Eventually, she was able to go to therapy. She is on medications and attends therapy every week. But she lives in fear and had to install cameras around her house for peace of mind.
Ashley met her husband when she was 15, and he was 16. They were together for 23 years and married for 16 years. Legally, they are still married, but she no longer considers herself in a relationship with him.
She is now in a tough spot because he was the one who earned all their income, and everything she owns is in his name. She is trying to make ends meet and take care of her kids, all while dealing with the psychological effects of everything that has happened.
She has learned many lessons from this situation, including that no relationship is guaranteed. She is also issuing a warning to always create some sort of safety net for yourself so that if something tragic happens and the rug is pulled out from under you, then you are able to land on your feet again.
She doesn’t know what the future holds for her, and she is struggling financially. She has been left with nothing but grief, fear, and shame.
