No girl, including TikToker Lauren (@laurenec77), expects to go out with a guy who would wear the same clothes as her. But the shoes this guy was wearing seemed to belong in Lauren’s own closet.
He was wearing black heeled booties, tight black pants, a black velvet blazer, a blank tank top, and a maroon handkerchief sticking out of his pocket. The real issue was not his questionable fashion choices—it was that he didn’t seem to have a good handle on his drinking.
“So, then, we went to get drinks, and I should’ve known,” said Lauren. “Red flag was when he was like, I need to get an Uber. And I was like, we’re not drinking like that; it’s the first date. Pretty sure this guy did drugs in the bathroom.”
He also looked nothing like his pictures online. First of all, his face was very narrow and thin in person. He had a short, closely cropped haircut in his photos, but when he showed up to the date, he was sporting long, greasy hair.
During the date, she had one and a half drinks. He downed three drinks and finished one of hers. He then wanted to keep drinking, and he knew every bouncer in the place. She asked him if he came here a lot, and he told her not to worry about it.
Eventually, Lauren switched to drinking water. He kept pressuring her to have more drinks, especially since the next day was a holiday and she didn’t have to be up early.
She declined any more drinks, and they headed to the next bar. All of a sudden, he began slurring his words. She couldn’t understand a single thing he was saying.
She should’ve left earlier, but wanted to stick around for the experience because she was a little rusty with first dates. At one point, he said something and pointed behind him.
She turned and saw an ice cream shop. She put two and two together and assumed that he wanted some ice cream.

However, the shop was closed. He walked Lauren back to her car and tried to call for a ride, but he didn’t have any phone service.
So, he got into her car and asked if she wanted to go to the backseat. Of course, she said no. She walked out with her dignity intact, while her date couldn’t walk in a straight line.
The whole date took place over the course of a few hours. It was both horrifying and impressive that she lasted as long as she did.
Afterward, he had the audacity to text her about what a good time he had and asked to see her again. She told him that it wasn’t going to work out and friend-zoned him.
