Is it time for me to start shouting from the rooftops that you should never, ever wear a wedding dress to a wedding unless it’s your own?

It’s unfathomable to me that any girl would be cruel enough to try to steal a bride’s attention like that, but this does occur in real life.

Insanely enough, Cole (@makeupbycole.nj on TikTok) had a guest show up to her wedding in a literal wedding dress, and no, she is not making this up, but it’s easy to see why so many people don’t believe that this happened on her big day.

“Not only did they wear white, they wore an actual…wedding dress. Like this dress was a wedding dress. I’m tempted to post pictures. Tell me if I should. I feel like I should because it’s so ridiculous,” Cole explained in her video.

“To the point where my family members, this was somebody’s new wife, so a lot of my family members didn’t know this person, um, but when this person walked into the room, my venue had two rooms in it, my family members assumed that this bride was in the wrong room and were like, ‘Oh my god! Congratulations!'”

But Cole clarified that, sadly, this was not a misplaced bride; this was one of her own wedding guests who had the audacity to put on a wedding dress.

Adding to the insanity, this woman, who dressed up like a bride on Cole’s special day, found Cole’s wedding photographer before Cole even saw her husband on their wedding day, and proceeded to take photos at the same castle where Cole snapped photos of her in her wedding dress prior to walking down the aisle.

Cole clarified that this was somebody’s new wife, and she didn’t even want them in her wedding photos. But this girl did a whole photoshoot with her photographer, who should have only had their eyes on Cole and her husband.

I’m really not sure what this was all about, aside from trying to steal the spotlight away from Cole. Why do you think this woman wore a wedding dress to Cole’s wedding? Why on earth would she then decide to recreate photos from Cole’s wedding?

“Any woman who shows up to a wedding wearing a white wedding dress or not should be immediately escorted out of the venue; that is very disrespectful,” one person commented on Cole’s video.

“Why the [heck] would your photographer agree to that? I’d be so mad at the photographer about this,” another person said.

One of my relatives did this [at] their DIL’s and son’s wedding. I almost passed out,” a third person weighed in.

“[Do you] mean like a full-blown wedding dress or just a fancy white dress? I’m sure all eyes were on you, as you’re so distinct and lovely,” someone else added.
