I love love stories, and there are so many intriguing ways to find “the one” nowadays. Carley (@carleytomlinson on TikTok) was having an atrocious time meeting men on dating apps, so she turned to girls on TikTok for assistance.
“[I] asked the girlies for help, listed some qualities about myself, qualities about a partner I was looking for, and that’s where Claudia came in,” Carley explained in her video.
“So, she’s the real MVP of this story, and commented a photo of her friend and said, ‘Hey, this is my friend Cameron, I think you just described him like perfectly, [here are] some qualities about him, let me know, and I’ll set you two up.'”
“Obviously, I wanted to get set up, because Cameron was a cutie…so, since then, because apparently I’m insane for going to TikTok at almost 30 years old, and asking to find a partner…got connected with Cameron, we met up, first date, went to a coffee shop.”
Their first date was amazing, and the best one Carley has ever gone on in her life. When her first date with Cameron was over, Carley climbed into her car and sent her best friend a voice memo, telling her that this was either the man she was going to marry or the man who was about to ruin her life.
Carley then headed to a call time for the show that she’s in and proceeded to tell all the girls in her dressing room about her first date and how great it went.
All the girls in the dressing room now ask for daily updates on Cameron. News quickly spread to the men’s dressing room, the stage manager, and the crew, who were all excitedly rooting for Carley.
“Word spread fast in the theater community that we were together, and it’s been about a month-ish. We made it official a couple of weeks ago,” Carley added.
“But, to wrap it up, on a serious note, he’s incredible, and has every quality I was looking for, has the best heart, is a walking green flag, and I wasn’t the first one to say that.”
It turns out that Carley and Cameron have a lot of mutual friends, as they’re both involved in theater. Carley did her research and asked other people in the community about Cameron, and nobody had a bad thing to say about him.
Carley describes Cameron as a golden retriever boyfriend. He opens doors for her, carries her bags, and is just one wonderful man.
While Carley says those are little things, they’re important to her. Carley thinks that if you’re looking for love and open to finding it in an unconventional way, you should make your own TikTok video outlining what you’re seeking.
