Her Neighbors Told Her The Way Her House Looks Is Ruining Their Property Value And Now This Single Mom Is Telling The Internet She’s Upset

Here’s what the internet had to say to her.

“I’d just stop and not bother with the confrontation. They’ll have seen the original effort, if they get snippy then they’re being unreasonable.”

“STOP!! Go to them and say directly (or write a note to leave); “I’ve been doing a lot of thinking since you approached me about my yard, and while over the years we did not become friends, I at least reached out at Christmas with cards and vouchers.”

“Yet the only time you’ve reached out to me is to ask to help YOU sell your home by doing more work in my yard. Did you know I am a single parent of FOUR?”

“Did you know I am on a fixed budget? No, because you never got to know me. Yet I am so kind that I have spent money, time, and sleepless nights over the last several weeks trying to keep up appearances for YOU–the same people that have ignored my family’s existence for years.”

“Frankly, I am finished and honestly you should be ashamed. If you’d like to pay for someone to cut my grass or do some other yard work, put up a natural barrier to the road to stop the dirt I can’t control from landing all over – you are welcome to do so; as long as I have the final say on anything beyond cutting the grass.”

“Otherwise, my yard is what it is — best of luck and have a nice life.”

“I feel like this letter is a bit overkill. Why not just tell them you’ll keep the flowers alive and the house free of garbage but if they want it to look pretty they can hire a gardener to do work that you approve and sign off on prior because you simply can’t keep up with the labor.”
