“I said that I’m not comfortable with that idea and said maybe if we have kids she could be a stay-at-home mom but I’m not cool with her being a stay-at-home wife and she said that I was being “manipulative” since we’re both child-free,” he explained.
He only threw that out there as a potential option, but he really does not want to be the only person in their household making any money.
Well, things went downhill from there and they both got into one heck of a disagreement. She accused him of not being supportive of her dreams, even though he has zero idea what she plans on doing while home alone all day.
In the end, he told her that clearly, her dream was to just “be lazy”, so she packed up some things and went to stay with her mom.
“I’ll be real here, I don’t want her to be a stay at home wife, I’m not okay with being the sole breadwinner, and I do not wish to support this “dream” – I want a partner in life, not a dependant doing nothing productive with their days,” he admitted.
