Since Tara was already feeling too much pressure and stress, she let Tara know that it was fine for her to just be at the wedding without being in it.
Tara kept badgering her about the real reason why she thought maybe it was time for Tara to reconsider being in her wedding.
“Finally, I said, “If you are causing this much trouble now, I don’t want you around me on my wedding day,” she continued.
“You are being selfish and spoiled, and if no one has told you yet- it’s like being around an entitled child. You need to change that.” She still came to the wedding, glaring daggers and dropping mean comments.”
When her wedding was over, Tara phoned her up every single week thereafter without fail to make sure she knew that she “ruined” the wedding. Funny, considering it wasn’t even Tara’s wedding.
She eventually had enough of Tara’s antics, and she made it clear to Tara that she was done continuing the conversation.
How would you deal with this?
