She doesn’t want to give it to her sister, but she’s wondering if she should not have said she could borrow the necklace without intending to let her have it for good.
If it was any other necklace, she probably wouldn’t mind, but this is the one necklace she has that she inherited and it’s special to her because it belonged to her grandma.
