She Baked Her Best Friend’s Wedding Cake, But Then Refused To Do The Same For Another Friend

“They said they didn’t care if it was box cake mix and canned frosting cuz they knew I would make it good.”

She said she was happy to help them out, and she created a list of ingredients for them to go get for her.

The person who used to apprentice with her at her job found out about her best friend’s wedding cake dilemma, and they got tested before rushing over to help her with the cake.

Well, the wedding cake was such a success that everyone at her best friend’s wedding wanted to know where the cake was from.

Her best friend did tell the wedding guests that she was the one who made the wedding cake. In the aftermath of having to whip up a wedding cake last minute, she was completely exhausted and it took her 4 days to really recover.

Last week, another one of her friends said that they knew she made her best friend’s wedding cake, and this friend wanted her to make their wedding cake too.

“I said no. Their wedding is a year away,” she said. Her friend was absolutely furious with her and freaked out.

Her friend called her a bunch of absolutely awful names, before insisting she “deserved” a cake too since she had helped her get to chemo on 2 occassions.

She did let some of her other close friends know about this incident, and people are divided. 5 of her friends think that she’s a jerk for refusing to help out this friend, and only 2 of her friends think she was allowed to say no here.

Do you think she was wrong in refusing to bake a wedding cake for her friend, or was it ok for her to say no? You can read the original post on Reddit here.
