“I listed off what I studied in my final year, and my boyfriend began to laugh, saying that it did not matter because I failed anyway,” the woman said.
Apparently, the man also had one too many drinks because he even took it a step further and began to discuss how “only idiots fail high school.”
The woman tried to play it off like she always does. But, that evening, his remarks really got to her, and she snapped.
“That’s why I earn forty-eight dollars per hour, and you earn twenty-six dollars per hour, right? Because you did so well in high school, and that set you up for success?” the woman chirped back to her boyfriend in front of everyone.
Following her response, the evening’s vibe was pretty shot. Now, the woman’s boyfriend and one of his friends are claiming she ruined the night.
Was the woman in the wrong for finally taking a stand for herself? At what point does “teasing” turn into downright bullying?
