She Found Her Friend’s Husband On Two Dating Apps And Told Her, But Then Her Friend Called Her Disrespectful And Cut Her Off
A twenty-six-year-old woman recently moved to a new city by herself and has been trying to meet some new people.
She did meet a married couple– the wife is thirty-two, and the husband is thirty-four years old– and she has become great friends with them over the last year.
But, one night, when she was swiping through Tinder, she came across a horrifying discovery– her friend’s husband had an active profile on the dating app.
She believes that her friend’s husband is “average looking,” so she did not think someone would be using his photos for a fake profile. Plus, the location of the Tinder profile was less than one kilometer away.
So, she decided to take a screenshot of the husband’s profile and send it to a different friend for advice.
To her surprise, though, a bunch of their mutual friends already knew about the Tinder profile.
Moreover, the husband also had another profile on an app that required users to enter credit card information.
And after learning about this, she knew she had to do something. After all, she did not want her friend to be left in the dark if her husband was cheating. But, she decided to first message the husband in order to avoid any awkwardness.
“Hey, I am going to be straightforward with you. I found your profile on some dating apps and want to clarify if your wife knows about this? I know it’s none of my business, but I love your wife to bits, and I would not be a good friend if I just let this go,” the text began.

“So, if you guys are in an open relationship or into some kinky stuff, that’s great. But please ask her to send me a text saying she’s good.”
Shockingly, though, she received a suspicious text back from her friend’s husband. Apparently, he tried to claim that his wife did know about the Tinder profile and that it was from a long time ago.
Then, he admitted that his wife did not know about the other paywalled profile and asked her to keep it a secret.
Understandably, she said heck no and told her friend’s husband that he had two days to come clean or else she would be showing her friend everything.
And eventually, the two days came and went, and she had no idea if the husband had told her friend about his sneaky dating app profiles. But, she decided to meet her friend for coffee anyway and bring it up.
She first asked her friend if her husband had “had a talk” with her. The friend was clearly confused, though, so then she just handed over her phone with all of the dating app screenshots.
Unfortunately, the friend ended up having no idea about any of it and thanked her for sharing the information. Then, the friend left the coffee shop to confront her husband.
After she got home, though, the entire thing completely backfired on her. Their mutual friends began texting her– calling her dramatic and attention-seeking and saying she should never have gotten involved.
Then, the friend even texted her and cut her off!
“I appreciate that you told me, but I cannot be friends with someone who disrespects my husband and gets involved in our personal matters, so I think it’s best if we distance ourselves,” the friend said.
Now, she is feeling completely blindsided. She thought that sharing the discovery with her friend was the best possible route of action.
But now, everyone’s remarks have made her question whether revealing the cheating was actually a jerky thing to do.
If your friend discovered your husband had multiple dating app profiles, would you want to know? Was the woman just trying to help?
