She Asked Her Boyfriend’s Best Friend To Stay With Her At The Hospital, And Now Her Boyfriend Is Fuming
This eighteen-year-old woman and her boyfriend, who is nineteen, have been dating for a year now. They also moved in together about three months ago, and everything had been going great.
But, just yesterday, she began experiencing some terrible pelvic pains while her boyfriend was at work.
And the pain became so unbearable that she even ended up calling her boyfriend and asking if he could take her to the emergency room.
Her boyfriend basically just said no, though, and claimed that he could not just take off from work.
“Despite the fact that he has called in sick multiple times and his boss does not care if he takes off work,” she added.
Anyway, that led her to ask her best friend– who is seventeen– to pick her up and drive her to the hospital.
Her best friend was not allowed, though, since her friend was apparently caught in the middle of some family emergency at the time. And she understood that.
Nonetheless, she was still left alone and in pain; meanwhile, her parents lived a few states away and could not help. So, she was forced to turn to her last resort– her boyfriend’s best friend.
Her boyfriend’s best friend is eighteen, and she has known him ever since she started dating her boyfriend.

She also believes that they have grown pretty close in the friend department and figured he would be fine to call in the event of an emergency.
And after she reached out to him, he showed up immediately and took her to the emergency room.
But, what she is more so feeling guilty about is how she asked her boyfriend’s best friend to stay with her the entire time she was at the hospital.
Apparently, she has had severe anxiety and abandonment issues ever since she was ten years old.
“My boyfriend has known this ever since he met me. I am deathly afraid of being alone or with strangers,” she explained.
So, she described her feelings to her boyfriend’s best friend, asked him to stay, and he did.
In fact, he remained by her side throughout the entire process– from filling out paperwork to even getting an ultrasound.
She claims that she was completely covered during the ultrasound and that her boyfriend’s best friend was extremely respectful throughout everything. And thankfully, she ended up being fine.
The real trouble came after she got dropped off at home, though, and her boyfriend got off of work.
Apparently, her boyfriend got back about thirty minutes later while she was on the phone with her father. Her dad had heard about what happened and, obviously, as her parent, wanted to be filled in on the situation.
So, she told her dad about everything and reassured him that he did not need to be worried about her. But, after she hung up the phone, her boyfriend was practically fuming.
First, he called her “disgusting” for discussing the details of her ultrasound with her father. Then, he claimed that it was totally inappropriate for her to ask his best friend to accompany her to the emergency room– let alone be in the room while she got her ultrasound.
She understood his frustrations, though, and tried to explain her thought process. She also apologized to her boyfriend. But, regardless, he just kept calling her inconsiderate and a total jerk.
So now, she has been left feeling pretty upset about this entire situation. She really did not think it was that big of a deal to ask her boyfriend’s best friend for help in a time of need.
However, after hearing it from her boyfriend, she has been left wondering if asking was really the wrong thing to do.
Was she acting unreasonably by wanting someone to stay with her at the hospital? Do you think her boyfriend has a right to be angry after he refused to help her out? If you were stuck in this situation, what would you do to reconcile it?
