Then, they even cut a slice of cake and placed it in front of her while continuing to push her to eat it.
So, she was forced to literally just sit there and keep repeating, “no, thank you,” until her inlaws finally decided to stop.
And once they did, her mother-in-law seemed really hurt. Her mother-in-law had apparently spent hours working on that cake and even remembered what her favorite flavor had been in the past.
So now, after reflecting on her birthday, she kind of feels like a total jerk.
“They are right– one slice of cake will not make any difference, especially since I have not lost any weight since limiting my sugar intake,” she explained.
Plus, she regrets not even tasting the cake that her mother-in-law supposedly worked so hard on and is wondering if refusing to eat some was the wrong thing to do.
