“He suddenly stopped responding to all my calls, all my texts,” she said. “A week later, his phone went right to voicemail.”
This would be enough to scare anyone, let alone someone who, after that long of a relationship, would assume she was his girlfriend. Like any good girlfriend, she began reaching out to try and track him down.
“I freaked out; I started calling the hospital thinking maybe something happened,” she said.
It turns out that her efforts weren’t enough to recover any kind of information about her missing boyfriend. The hospital calls returned nothing about his whereabouts because he was not in any of them, she explained. Thinking that this was becoming even more suspicious than the situation had already been, in a concerned decision, she reached out to the local police for help in the situation. She received shocking news in return.
“I called the police and filed a missing persons report,” she said. “You know what they told me? They told me my boyfriend did not exist.”
This relationship will surely go down in dating history as one of the most bizarrely terrifying situations.
“Not only did my boyfriend ghost me by faking his own death,” she said in closing. “He also had lied to me for two years about his real identity.”
