He wasn’t sure how to make his wife feel better, so he struggled with what he should say, but his wife then informed him that she will be skipping out on spending Christmas with his family this year.
He couldn’t believe that she said that, and he did his best to convince her to change her mind, yet she wouldn’t.
“I called her unreasonable to decide to bail on the whole family over some cookie sample…that’s just freaking crazy and quite unreasonable,” he said.
“We had a full-on argument about it, and she stated that my mother caused this, but I told her that my mother is pretty serious and careful about the food she offers to the guests since we are going to have relatives coming from all sides of the country. She told me to stop mentioning it.”
Oh, and in case you are curious, 2 of his cousins and his sister baked things that did make it to the menu. He’s left wondering if it was mean of him to tell his wife that she wasn’t being reasonable for no longer wanting to attend Christmas with his family.
Do you think his wife has every reason to be upset over not getting picked to have her food on the menu for another year in a row?
